I've bought another brand and type of spinner 360 degree wheeled luggage before, but I feel these ones are a whole lot better. Just like the previous ones and any luggage you buy, air it out for a few days and then throw in a dryer sheet to make sure that new smell goes away, and then take off the protective initial film and you're ready to go. My mom told me to leave that plastic film so the designs don't get scratched up. But in all honesty, it's going to get nicked and scratched up; it's luggage, it's supposed to so your items inside do not get damaged.
These specific suitcases also have a built in lock which is airport safe. Infact, when I used it at the airport, they asekd me to ulock that one instead of the other TSA lock I had on it. however, I'm not too sure if I used it properly because it didn't exactly lock it. it's a good thing I had both on there just incase. Other than that, it spins very well, easy to move, handles have EXCELLENT grip on them, the wheels are high enough so its easy to manuver, and it has a few compartments whihc makes it nice and easy to pack. Lots of space in these suitcases. Price is excellent for these amazing luggage sets.Love the design, HATE the smell By Southern Belle
I love these suitcases and the price was outstanding. The champagne color is classy and unique. I thought the blue and pink would just stand out during business travel. The champagne color is perfect for both. I got compliments the moment I arrived at the airport. The only problem is that they have an incredibly strong chemical smell. I packed my clothes in plastic for fear that the smell would transfer from the bag. I aired them out for a week prior to my first trip and even put dryer sheets throughout to assist with the smell. I'm back from my first trip with the luggage and unfortunately, the smell still lingers. I'm hoping it will air out soon because I love the cases.
Oh and another plus that I didn't find on most hard cases in the store are the zippered dividers in each bag. I saw it in the 28" bags, but not the smaller carry-on. These have the dividers in all three sizes which allows you to separate the shoes and toiletries in the top from clothing in the bottom or vice versa...VERY COOL.
Only downside I found, besides the smell of death (LOL), was the wheels seem rather small. I kept getting caught in doorways, grates on the sidewalk and those popcorn-type walking spots on sidewalk when you're coming from the street to the sidewalk. Rolling along straight up with the 360 degree wheels, then popped right into the pulling case cause of a change in terrain...ultimately, I caught on and mastered the shift, but very annoying at first.
All in all, I'm super happy with the purchase, just can't wait for the smell to go away. Stinky luggage is NOT CUTE.
