Spacious, easy to handle bag By Music Critic
I recently did a lot of online research for a carry-on bag for a 10 day trip to the UK, and found it surprisingly difficult to find one that satisfied all my criteria. These criteria started with size - I wanted something that was as close to the max allowable as possible, yet was still easy to handle. I didn't have much luck until one day I saw this bag in a store, and it really caught my attention. It was the perfect size, it seemed durable, it has a 2-piece security zipper (although since it would be a carry-on, that wasn't my main concern), it was nicely compartmented, and it seemed like it would be easy to handle in the airport. I didn't get it at the time, because I was still doing research, but I put it on the short list. That short list got shorter and shorter, and finally, I ordered it about 3 weeks before my trip. It turned out to be perfect! It held everything I had planned to put in it, and more. The bag I was using as my check-in bag was slightly over the weight limit (I got one of those inexpensive had-held luggage scales) so I had to move some stuff to the carry-on, and it held out with no problems. So the carry-on bag ended up being a little heavier than I had planned, but I still had no problems with it. It fit easily in the overhead bins of the US Air flights I was on (they were wide-body Airbus planes). It was also very easy to use while I was away, and I took it with me on a couple of train trips I took while I was there. The only thing I wished it had was a slim, open pocket on the back where you could stuff a newspaper, magazine, something like that. I travel a lot for work and absolutely love this piece. I can fit a weeks worth of clothes in it including a pair of shoes and often a travel fan without an issue at all. Its surprisingly deep. The quality is top notch as I give it a lot of heck throwing it into overhead bins on the plane, the rental car, shuttles, cabs, etc. I highly recommend it - and the trolley wheels, amazing - absoltely amazing - I can nearly guide the whole thing with a heavy briefcase (also Delsey Helium) on top with one finger.Beware - Bigger than Advertised! The bag is advertised as 21 inches long, but it is more like 23 inches (including the wheels) which means that it is too big to comply with most airlines' carry on requirements. I was very disappointed and sent it back.
