No real warranty By Stephen Ike
I liked the luggage at first. The problem was that after a year the large bag split down the middle of the side. I contacted Heys and they said the warranty does not cover damage from baggage handlers. Not sure who they think will handle the luggage other than baggage handlers. Anyway it is not really a warranty and the quality of the bags is not what it should be for this price. I would not buy a Heys product again.Ok,but quality could be better By Ellie
I bought two sets of these pieces because we have an older version of this luggage and it has been great. This set is good and easy to use. A few things I have seen:
1. The interior has a nasty smell, which means that you should plan to air out the luggage for a few days before you put your clothing into it.
2. The first trip from Phoenix to Eugene, Oregon (two flights) the lock broke on one piece of luggage. It required us to cut it off with bold cutters. Additionally, the locks do not say that they meet TSA requirements, which may pose a problem for some.
3. One of the zipper pulls (the little piece you hold on to to pull the zipper closed) broke..
Frankly, I'd expect better qualify from the luggage for the cost. It is nice luggage, but having to deal with the smell, broken lock and broken zipper pull after one trip makes me wonder what else will happen on future trips.Heys Cruzer 3 Lite Luggage Set By diyguy
These did have a strong smell as others indicated, but setting them out a few days made it bearable. It didn't seem to affect my clothes after that and it has been months later now and the smell is gone. I haven't used the largest bag yet, but the other two have had heavy usage. I travel frequently and they have been through many airports. There are a few gouges in the medium suitcase but it is holding up well.
